Fossil

Saturday we went to the park. After swinging and sliding for a while, we took V down to the beach on the lake. There R found this tooth in the sand.

Our guess is a shark tooth - what do you think? It's awfully, beautifully fossilized.

I don't know, but why would a shark tooth be where you are in TN?

I have no idea - I wouldn't think there'd be a shark tooth this far in, but that's what it looks like. Except the top of it doesn't look like any shark teeth I've seen.

I really don't know, but it's driving me crazy!
