Had to share

I already know I'm going to have to go back and take another picture of this house when the light's not all wonky.

Today I got to drive around three counties all by myself and take 300 pictures of all sorts of things: a very old church, an historical site, and several insanely beautiful houses.

But, though my fingers are itching to open Photoshop, I have work I have to get done tonight because tomorrow night we're going out of town and it's getting late. We're going to look around at a few houses on Saturday and see what we can see. Nothing's definite, but maybe we can pull off something wonderful in the near future.

In the meantime, check out this house! I think it's nothing short of amazing. You can view it large, if you like.

amazing house

The columns holding the porch's roof up are tree trunks. I can't imagine anyone hanging out on the second floor balcony, but maybe they do. To the right of the house is a row of trailers and to the left is a lot of stuff.

Wow. I am intrigued.

More from my meanderings next week, plus I'm planning a book giveaway with two winners! I love when that happens. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. If you have a moment, leave me a little note here and let me know what fun things you'll be up to, ok?

Wow. It takes a real optimist to see the beauty there.

shelli

Are people still living there? It looks like it was once a beauty. Good luck house hunting!

That is an amazing place!

Tonight my oldest son is performing (playing guitar) in a fundraiser coffee house performance! I don't know if you remember, this was scheduled twice and canceled because of bad weather. Sure hope it stays on for tonight, although they are forecasting "snow bursts" for us tonight! Hope your weekend is wonderful!

Those columns are awesome - the house looks like it may be inhabited...

there's definitely someone living there. :)

Jamie

Oh very cool house! It makes me wonder what it looked like new and what stories those walls would tell.

Thank you for the picture! I always wonder about old homes, who lived there and why they left. Lets see, this weekend, my girl has an equestrian meet, then a Super Bowl get together with friends. I may even cook - a lot. Have a great weekend yourself!

jessica

Today we are going to the paint-your-own-pottery studio. It's something that my children have been looking forward to since we first went in June. I can't believe so much time has passed! I hope you are having a great weekend and are lucky in your search for a house. My husband and I are searching too.
