Sneaky Weasel + giveaway (yay!)
In the sand

Things to do...

There are so many things on my to-do list this week that I thought I'd take an "active break." My plan is to post a picture or two a day for the next week (with the exception of announcing the four winners of my book giveaway tomorrow) so that I can concentrate on some things that have been left undone for too long. I have a hard time not posting here, so we'll see how that goes.

This past weekend, we went to the beach for an all-too-short long weekend. Topsail, NC, is beautiful and not too crowded this time of year. V had the time of her life at the ocean - she didn't want to leave.

So here are the first two of my favorite pictures from our trip.

v Topsail NC 192

v Topsail NC 421

Lovely photos. I love those clouds and that blue sky.

Everyone seems to be posting images of the ocean / beach these days. I'm so jealous! Love that little castle. =)

Sigh...sea and sand. :) I love the little sand mound with the ocean in the background - just beautiful. My camera camera came this Monday. I'm sooo excited. I cannot wait to try it out!

A break from posting... tell me about it. I try that from time to time but it's like taking a part of my speaking/sharing voice away. And if I don't write out what I'm thinking and feeling it just keeps swirling around taking up mental space but I wish you luck in your "photo only" endeavor!

Gorgeous beach shots, look at those puffy clouds!

I love the image with the houses and people in it, for some reason it screams 1920s to me.

Fighting Windmills

I agree with Rebecca. The first photo looks like it's out of The Great Gatsby. I want to take our family to the beach this year. That's great that you all had a good time!

I visited yesterday and forgot to comment! That sounds like a fun weekend! I love both photos, but you know me and my love of shallow DOF! The sand castle photo is so cool!

I could just get lost in your blog - not even reading, just drooling over the pictures.
